The Tipton Prevents campaign—Disconnect to Reconnect, a county-wide initiative to help students reduce excessive screen time and boost their mental health—was sponsored by TN Mental Health/Substance Abuse Services. Brighton Elementary participated in a seven-day challenge to disconnect from electronic devices. 

 

Those who participated in the 4th and 5th grades were entered into a drawing per homeroom. Our winners were presented with a $20 gift card to use at the grand opening of Atoka's Chick-fil-A.

 

4th-grade winners were Zion Maclin, Riley Drumwright, Macie Paine, Colt Childress, and Baylor Wade. 

 

5th-grade winners were Madison Funk, Heath Martz, Jan Marie Baskin, Diesel Pearce, and Morgan Barnett.
